I remember silence (one of the few people who bought admirals club, i think this was before majestic 13) just laserboating laser 3s in a starbase, was annoying as hell. but still made me laugh.

TB was an awesome player. In fact I still remember the FW where HOPE actually owned players... HOPE knew how to handle business. KoA were just modders... not really fighters... only like 4-5 players who were new to koa were the actual fighters in that FW... Anaxis went mad in recruiting players. KoA was awesome in helping for mods, errors, and other stuff in the game... but their skills in fighting were normal. Not very good tactics. DEF came along later on... alliance with RUSH and WD... all Drengin, They did have their fame as team players... they fought in groups and hard to find in lag fights. TO was an ok fleet... not the best at the time... but their was other fleets like Killa's fleet forgot the name... POF was a 2 player fleet along with BoS. All along to see the greatest fleets... all of the fleets were awesome... All have had their up's and downs... but majority KOA, HOPE, DEF, ZF, Rush, Edge, and finally VIP have been victorious in FW's. A lot of fleets have been good, a lot of fleets have been strong at one point or another, but many 'strong' fleets never lasted long, like VIP for instance. WD opened and closed more times than one can count - it was just DD holding it together and whenever he left it would fall apart. Only two fleets have endured through the ages -sure they had ups and downs but they never really 'fell apart' completely- and those 2 are KOA and DEF. These two never really closed up for good. HOPE closed, so did ZF, RUSH, EDGE, VIP, WD, DEAD, you name it, it was disbanded at one point or another. In the end it is hard to say which, for example, 5 fleets are absolutely *THE* best. Because all were good, but at different times. It is definite that KOA and HOPE were the FIRST fleets but that does not necessarily mean they are the BEST ever. Certainly among the best, but 'among the best' is a lot of fleets. Alphabetically this list should include the best fleets ever. People will debate which in them should not be in the list or which of them are the 'top' ones but this list covers all the fleets anyone would say was really a 'top' fleet. ACE ALL BC DEAD DEF EDGE FFF HOPE KOA RUSH STORM VIP WD ZF 777

That's fact not fiction. And I was in college in 04 too. In fact I started in 02. So I guess I'm a Hoper too?

Hoper's are members of HOPE, in 02 many were still in High School, by the time it was 03-04 many have moved on to X-Box Live, PS2 Online, and College. Or had lag issues. HOPE never had a member who has been around since 01 that had quit on them. From 02 and above all member's that joined in those years including me left or got kicked for treason. DEF fell apart, does that mean it is a dead fleet. According to you, Since DEF is inactive it must of fallen apart. HOPE is inactive that is all. Besides you left SF... so why the fuck do you care :?

Listen. DEF has not fallen apart because various (and by various I mean more than one) DEF members still play on a semi regular basis even now. DEF still maintains a fleet forum and members are registered and occasionally post there. DEF members (and I mean members other than Mobious) have been in IRC multiple times. Members occasionally post on other fleet forums as well. On the contrary. In the past year or two there hasn't been a SINGLE HOPE member playing. Except Obliterator himself who logged in like once or twice for less than twenty minutes in the ENTIRE YEAR. There have been no HOPE members posting on forums. No HOPE members on IRC in the PAST YEAR. So yeah by any standards HOPE had fallen apart some time ago. Now. I did not leave SF. I left SF GAMEPLAY. Only so I would not be under Skillet's control. If I had quit SF period I wouldn't be checking any of the SF related forums, I wouldn't be running stardock.hyperboards.com/, and I sure as hell wouldn't be the SF Webmaster. If I had quit SF, period, I would have done something like so many members of KOA did - pull a disappearing act. Does anyone know how to contact Stealthedge for instance? or J_? Those people quit SF entirely and walked away and you are right that they wouldn't give a fuk what's going on now. I on the other hand am in a role similar to what Mobious and SFServer did most last year. They were in SF but not in gameplay. Thats what I'm in now. (Of course now Moby and SFServer have left completely but I meant back when they were in IRC all day every day and were in SFDC.)

Also. Of course I know a Hoper is a member of HOPE. I was saying then I would be a member of HOPE too. Hence my use of the word.

Hope players still keep in contact with each other on msn. They may not have a forum for full proof but they do keep in contact. Hence why I know what they are doing right now. But since you don't know much about HOPE at all or have talked to them in game play... you somehow know more than me... SO I will fuck off this subject

I'm sure you have a lot of messenger contacts and e-mail addresses. That does not translate to the fleet being intact. But thank you for ceding this debate and accepting me as an honorary member of the new HOPE.

Never said that I accepted you as an honorary member of the new HOPE.
Quit jumping to false conclusions.
