Dark Eclipse, led by Burton1, and Dark Kitty, led by Maytag, have been taken down due to the membership size of SIN.
Plans underway to form a newbie squad led and trained by Tovec. This is only once SIN gets newbies.

Ok, SIN members have ship tags but what do they mean. Shouldn't the tags represent fleet rank and squad?
I think we should use this method in order to avoid comfusion. This is just a suggestion.

Yes Master, normally that is exactly how it would be.
We had squads but they were eliminated due to our size.
If you have any suggestions on new tags PLEASE let us know. I have been working on new ones for a little while with little luck. I can't think of anything that will be simple and effective.
If you want to help please post some ideas and we'll take them into advisement. We will be announcing new standardized fleet tags within the next week or two with any luck.

I was think of naming squads after past Fleet leaders like DeathDragon or Plague. Those seem simple enough. The other thing s is that each squad is assigned a purpose. For example, Squad DeathDragon could be aggressive offence while Squad Plague is assigned tactical operation. Anyhow these are suggestions, so you can expand on them.

Its an interesting idea and I definately agree that each squad should have a purpose but I don't think naming them after previous fleet leaders is the best idea. To the best of my knowledge the only reason Maytag made Dark Kitty is because he served under her in ACE. Even then it stirred up several problems with other people.
Definately having an attack squad would be interesting. Also all squads in SIN are not assigned. You do not get into SIN and automatically join a squad. You have to be picked by the commander of that squad.
You seem to have some interesting ideas about this please brainstorm a bit more and keep posting about it. I'll do the same.

You might be right in not naming squads after fleet leaders, so I guess we have to work with the names we have for now. I've noticed that SIN doesn't have a trainer; you might say this is because of limited members but it would be wise to train the members we have, which, in the near future these trained members could potentially be wing commanders, trainers or squad leaders. They also would be trained for Fleet Tournament, which I hope is soon. Also, by training the members present, they can become the SIN Elite.

Burton seems to think I am the trainer of SIN. I'm not sure how I'd go about this being that I get zero chance to play SF anymore these days while my internet is gone. The only way I am able to post is from work.
Master we are working to setup a fleet tournament. But we still need someone who can host it. I'm writing the server code myself to try and get rid of as much lag as possible.
Also if we do this we may need to specify teams or sides but that isn't fair because we don't have squads. If you have any suggestions Master please post them.
As far as the squads themselves, you are right we have enough or could have enough to have squads but they do require some work. I'm not sure if we can swing them properly at the moment, though I could be wrong.
We are always looking for someone to step up and take charge and put their hat into the ring, as it were, so don't stop giving us ideas. Especially ones as unique as the ones you had before.

I would take up the position of SIN trainer, however, I would have t be evaluated by Maytag or Burton for this position. Though I may be lacking certain skills, I'm very skilled in Dueling. In 2001, I participated in The SFC Dueling tournament of which I had consistent scores. Anyhow, I would like to held in anyway possible.

This would require a jump in promotion. It will take some serious thought to decide on what you have offered Master. Please give us a couple days to come to a common understanding and we will inform you of our decision.
You have skills. At the very least I think we would have to test you. I want to try you out myself. Up for a little friendly fight this weekend? I'll get back to you about the training position as soon as I can.

You are the new training leader. I'm out! A-hahaha! Anyway.
As soon as I can swing it you will have global moderationary powers. This will allow you to modify boards and culture your own duties.
To be able to do the job we've made you a Lt.Commander. Anyone in SIN who has a regulated job has to be a Lt.Commander at the very least - has to be leadership.
Warning: Abuse your power at penalty of being pelted with stuffed animals!

If we all agree, I would like to bring back Dark Eclipse. Seeing that we now have a trainer, and as I check my PM a training server mod under way, I think this is an ample opportunity to bring back at least one of the squads. Master trains the people and decides if they have what it takes to join the squad. Sound good?

If you want go ahead. It doesn't make the slightest difference to me If Master wants to decide if they are good enough that is. I don't know if it should be a major requirement to join a squad but whatever.

That sounds like a good idea. I will have the test server on periodically but the actually training will be finished some time this week. Now we can make arranegments for the members who need training.
