Hi guys, I am just an old time player who got back into SF recently and I noticed that you had to change the nexus address thing but only 1 server pops up and it doesn't work. I am the only one who cant get onto the server or is SF servers just not working right now?

I've also tried playing some SF and found that there is only 1 server up and that I can't get into it. Are there other servers at other times that I might be able to get into? I'm trying to teach a friend of mine SF but its really hard when you can't see what they are doing.

Yes I do remember you now ;D Its s shame that the stardock nexus was shut down. There was a huge list of names of old vets that you could see and check their scores, when they were last seen etc.

Ya it is a shame that stardock was shut down... I wonder if its true that Skillet was really mad and decided to hack over the whole thing...

I believe that is true, but its also the developers fault for not continuing the game. Because of that the bugs and holes in the game itself were later found out and never plugged.... But most of the sf players have moved onto other games, if your interested I can tell you which ones

lol including my names :!.all my charcters got cadet and passwored changed Precisely that, I think it happened to most everyone, except for a very few people who by then had been gone for years anyway. Continuum is really much better.

I tried Continuum 7 or 8 months back. It was entertaining to me for only a couple of days and then it just seemed repetitive. I always find myself returning to good ole tried and true SF.

I play Continuum often. The game does seem the same but in some servers they host events during the day. That event could be anything from hunting to defending, even playing dodgeball. And one advantage is that the game actualy has support unlike SF. I'm not bashing SF at all btw. I still miss it

The main perks of Continuum relative to SF are: relatively manageable lag, and capable staff who keep things in order (i.e. no Skillet counterpart). As far as Cowboy82: Many servers (they're called "zones") in Continuum, there are. Need to find the right server for you, you do. Not all zones are for everyone. I know it took me awhile (to be precise, 3 years!) before I finally found a zone (SSCE Hyperspace) that I fell in love with. Before then, I just played Continuum when I wanted to do something fun and couldn't think of anything else to do (when SF was dead).

If you guys are looking for a little something other then sf that continuum we have played it awhile and some guys still play it lag is much better most of all you can find people on any time of the day and much more different ways to play the game.
we looked into con while in gohans ACE for the sf expansion programme ag but for some reason it never took off.
I personally did not like the bouncing off walls part but found most other 2d space games to do the same so its just one of those things
--Jp so a few of us might take that up again while playing ogame , starport ge is kinda dieing and in any case we did it all.
eh MN everybody misses sf but its not coming back any time soon ag but lets not get into that and in terms of staff its ran by players, con was called subspace and like sf died so players got the source and are now running the game something like that

I personally did not like the bouncing off walls part but found most other 2d space games to do the same so its just one of those things True, it was a major turn-off for me near the beginning but Continuum does have a flavor all its own. eh MN everybody misses sf but its not coming back any time soon ag but lets not get into that and in terms of staff its ran by players, con was called subspace and like sf died so players got the source and are now running the game something like that Yes true, however more importantly the 'servers' (zones) and 'nexus' (biller, the main one is SSC) are ran professionally and reliably 24/7/365 by dedicated staff, not like SF where you get anyone with a allowing firewall to host servers, in Continuum you have to expend a large deal of effort to make robust zones to get listed on biller. And overall the Continuum code, especially with the recent 0.40 release, is a lot more stable and secure than the SF programming, and developers have made powerful banning software as well so any Skillet wanna-bes are nipped in the bud with minimal disruption to players.
